Srushti Kathak Kendra takes great pride in introducing its both the founder trustees, who are also artists of great caliber and potential in the field of “Kathak”- A traditional classical dance style of India.

Mrs. Alaka Rahalkar and her daughter Ms. Asavari Rahalkar are two of the very selfless, dedicated and sincere teachers who have both received training in Kathak under the discerning eye of Guru Rohini Bhate and Guru Rajendra Gangani.

While Mrs. Rahalkar a former teacher at Pune University (Lalit Kala Kendra), teaching Kathak Dance at the Graduation and Post Graduation level, also taught for some 12 years at Nritya Bharati Kathak Dance Academy, many students (foreigners included).
 
Special features of Srushti Kathak Kendra
 
Every year students appear for the national level exams, from basic to Graduation, Post Graduation level and they pass out with flying colors every year.

 
Talented students are encouraged to participate in competitions at various levels and have brought laurels to the institution.

 
Every year, workshops are conducted to train the students and expedite their progress. Students have this rare opportunity to learn directly from Guru Pandit Rajendraji Gangani and spend some time in his company.

  A special feature can be defined as the learning of classical Indian style-Kathak helped many a physically handicapped children as it came as medical relief and cure.

 
“Guru Kundanlal Smriti Samaroha” (in the memory of late Kundanlal Gangani) was first time organized in 2003 where in Grammy award winner Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, Guru Pandit Rajendraji Gangani performed and thrilled the audience.

 
“Kundanlal Smriti Samaroha” (in the memory of late Kundanlal Gangani) was second time organized in 2006 where Guru Pandit Rajendraji Gangani & his disciple Asavari performed.

 
Recordings (cassettes, CDs), all the text material (theory notes etc) is provided by Srushti Kathak Kendra for their students.
